uninthpired.

The other day, I was at Target, and after purchasing a shirt and listening to the lovely woman give her clearly rehearsed sales pitch, I had wished to reply with, "Awesome, thank you," and give her a smile for the effort.

For one reason or another, I stumbled over my words and all I could get out was "Awthum." I immediately mentally cursed myself for sounding like an idiot, made eye contact with her, smiled, and shuffled away. Once I hit the parking lot, I said aloud, "Did I really just say that?"

The next time that woman sees me -- and it's quite often, considering I'm in Target regularly -- she's going to expect a lisp out of me.

On a similar note, Blake had joked the other night, "What sick, sadistic bastard decided to put a S in the word 'lisp'?!"
I replied with, "Don't you mean thick, thadithtic bathtard?"

I never considered the fact that staring at spreadsheets on a computer screen for the better part of all day for a profession could possibly have a negative impact on my desire to come home and make use of my own computer.

It certainly does.

In any event, I'm happy, and that's all that matters, I think.

I'm happy about Assassin's Creed 2. It has completely blown away any and all expectations I had. Satisfied would be an understatement. /endnerdlove

I'm happy about going out of town this week. Any excuse to go to Cary is a good one, but to go out of town to simply EAT probably ranks among my favorites. Plus, I get to see my two favorite gremlins:

I'm happy with my job. I think I'll leave it at that. It is nice.

I'm happy to finally own Star Trek. I've been waiting for what seems like forever for this to come out on dvd. /endmorenerdlove

[Note to self: You are not cool enough to own anything on blu-ray yet.]

blahblahblah. I foresee New Moon happening tomorrow night. I'll admit I was crazy about the books, and this looks like it holds up to it for the most part. However, I'd rather not be watching it with 300 teenage girls. Maybe my sister or brother in law can pull some strings.

Bedtime. Fuck, have I seriously run out of things to write about?

Awthum.

NIGHT.

And Happy Thanksgiving. :)

Edit: I want this for Christmas:

Real or prosthetic. Any will do.
